The honest summary: MorisBook uses only the cookies needed to keep you logged in. Nothing for advertising or tracking.
What cookies are
- Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They can be essential (making login work) or non-essential (advertising, analytics, tracking).
The cookies we use
- Authentication cookies: keep you signed in to your MorisBook account between pages. Set only when you log in; deleted when you log out or your session expires.
- That's the whole list. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or third-party marketing cookies of any kind.
- Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, no cookie consent banner is required under the Data Protection Act 2017. Consent is only needed for non-essential cookies, which we don't use.
The mobile app
- The MorisBook app does not use cookies. It stores your login session and your recently-viewed businesses on your device only, and a push notification token if you enable notifications. Covered in our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking our authentication cookies means you won't be able to stay logged in.
- If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
